Morale Modifier

The Morale Modifier consists of the leader's Ranks in Profession: Soldier plus all modifications to the situation:

Ranks in Profession: Soldier
+ unit's Morale Stat
+ Leader's WIS-bonus (if he possesses the Leadership Feat)
+ Terrain Mod
+ Command/Control (C/C) Mod
+4 per Enemy unit disengaging/retreating
- # of casualties taken during Combat Phase
- # of enemy units attacking the unit

 
Feats for D&D3E War Law

Blind-Fight Roll twice for Luck (in darkness, fog, night, etc.)
Cleave If an attack causes casulaties, make an immediate second attack (once per round)
Deflect Arrows +1 AC against one missile attack per round
Dodge +1 AC against one melee attack per round
Expertise Decrease Attack Mod by up to -5 and increase AC by same amount
Great Cleave As Cleave but without limit
Improved Initiative +1 to one side's initiative (cumulative per unit that possesses this feat)
Power Attack Before the attack subtract any number (up to Base Attack Bonus) from Attack Mod and add the same amount to the casualties caused
Rapid Shot Make one extra missile attack against the same enemy within one round
Spiritied Charge Doubles casualties with a cavalry charge
Toughness Unit takes one less casulaty when hit
Weapon Finesse Use DEX bonus (instead of STR) for melee attacks. Unit cannot use shield
Weapon Focus +1 Attack Mod
Weapon Specialization +1 casualty (Fighter units only!)

Uncanny Dodge:

  • Uncanny Dodge I: Unit retains DEX bonus to AC even if routed.
  • Uncanny Dodge II: Unit cannot be flanked; all Flank attacks are counted as if they were Front attacks.
  • Uncanny Dodge III: Unit cannot be attacked from rear; all Rear attacks are counted as if they were Front attacks.

Damage Reduction:

  • Damage Reduction I: Casualties taken reduced by 1
  • Damage Reduction II: Casualties taken reduced by 2
  • Damage Reduction III: Casualties taken reduced by 3
 

Rage:

  • Unit fights with +4 Attack
  • Casualties reduced by 2 (if the unit takes casualties in the round after the rage started)
  • +2 to Morale Rolls
  • -2 AC
  • Duration: usable once against one enemy unit (lasts one round)
  • Rage #: usable # times per whole battle (eg. Rage IV usable 4x per battle)

Bonus Feat:

  • Unit gains a bonus feat from the table above. These are not all feats that could be learned by units, other feats can be extrapolated from the PHB feats.
